Latham represented CoreCivic, a private prison company, in a securities class action alleging that the company failed to warn the market of the risk that the federal government would terminate contracts. The lawsuit alleged that CoreCivic falsely assured shareholders of the financial health of the company for years despite government officials warnings that they would phase out private prisons.
